Belly Dance for Teens and Pre-Teens (ages 12-19)
 
Mondays  3:15-4:45pm

June 30 thru August 18 $35/8 weeks

Tumwater Old Town Center - Gymnasium
       
This eight week class for 12 to 19 year olds, begins with warm-ups and stretches, progresses to basic steps and step combinations, and builds to a complete choreography. We will also learn some of the common rhythms of the Middle East and how to play them on finger cymbals (zills). Costuming and the Middle Eastern culture are also included in the curriculum. Great exercise in a fun environment. Belly dance works, greatly stretches, and invigorates seldom used muscles.

Beginner Level 

Mondays*  5:30-7:00pm   $50/9 weeks - Next session starts June 30

This 90 min. class is held downtown Olympia at the beautiful Woman's Club (upstairs) 1002 Washington St, on the corner of 10th and Washington.

*This class is limited to 20 students.

Wednesdays  3:30-5:00pm $50/9 weeks - Next session starts July 2

This 90 min. class will be held at the Women's Club downtown if there are enough pre-paid registrations. Otherwise this class will be held at the Mas Uda studio in Lacey.

Wednesdays  (Dates TBA by the college) - This class will start up again in fall 2008

Beyond Beginner Level
 
Wednesdays*  5:30-7:00pm $50/9 weeks - Next session starts June 11

This 90 min. class will be held at the Women's Club downtown if there are enough pre-paid registrations. Otherwise this class will be held at the Mas Uda studio in Lacey. This class will be canceled if there are not enough students pre-registered. Call Kashani to find out (360) 459-3694
       
This class is back by popular demand!  Drills, individual attention, steps/step combos, no choreography.  Class will focus on technique and precision.  A great workout and good review for intermediate or advanced students.

*This class is limited to 10 students. You may join this class at any time.

Intermediate Level

Thursday  7:00-8:00pm  $35/10 weeks - Ongoing

Shakes Dance Center, 2724 A Black Lake Blvd (near the archery place)

Bummed about the Rhythm Circle being on hold? Want to play for dancers, with a great group of musicians?

Well, here’s your chance! Mas Uda recruited a great group of musicians to participate in Olympia's 2008 Procession of the Species parade. This friendly, down to earth group plans to continue playing music together, and perform with Mas Uda at various events in the future. A great opportunity to meet other local musicians, play music, and learn fun new stuff!
